As you know from my previous post I went to Semarang a month ago for my friend's wedding. We didn't get to sightsee that much but we did stop here and there. At the same time I also celebrated my Birthday while I was there. We went in 2 cars: Me, Wafa, Like, Arie & Sisca in one car, Wenang, Lisa, Lya, Nanda, Revi and Irma in another car. I decided to divide my post about Semarang into two. The first is about the places we visited and the second about our culinary adventure. Today's post will be about the places we went to. Since this post is quite long because of the amount of pictures, I'll have to split it. Click on the link below to continue seeing photos of Semarang.
Our first stop was Oom Shin. Its actually a place that sells fresh soya bean milk as well as tofu/ bean curd. You can see how the tofu is made. Their fresh soya bean is definitely a thumbs up!
The next stop was Nissin Cafe for lunch. Nissin is a brand of biscuits in Indonesia. This was actually a factory where they make and distribute the biscuits. And beside the factory was the Cafe. I liked the cafe as the deco was pretty cozy.
After Nissin Cafe we headed straight to my friend's house and got ready for the wedding. After the wedding we went out and about eating food suggested by Lika. At midnight my friends surprised me with a group of kids singing for me. So sweet!
The next day we headed out early as some of us had exam the next day. But that didn't stop us from stopping here and there. Our first stop was Bubur Ayam for breakfast.
After breakfast we went to Sam Poo Kong for a photo op.
The next post will be about the food we had in Semarang. Sorry if this post about Semarang didn't give much info about Semarang. It was a really short trip and we spent most of our time trying new food.
