I was suppose to post this yesterday but I was out the whole day and by the time I came back I was too tired to do anything and went straight to bed. From my previous post, I have said I will post about the food I had in Semarang. Am splitting this post as well so click on the link below to keep reading it. The reason I named this post Tahu Tahu Tahu is because we had tofu non-stop through out our whole trip to Semarang. Hehe.
Our first stop was Oom Shin's Tahu Serasi. They sold fresh soya bean milk. Fresh and yummilicious! Definitely the best soya bean I've ever had in Indonesia. Apart from selling soya bean, they also sold tofu, either cooked or uncooked. Nothing special, just your typical fried tofu eaten with raw chili.

Apart from the soya bean and fried tofu, we also ate leker. Leker is kinda like crepes but crispier.
Our next stop was Nissin Biscuit Emporium Cafe & Resto. I had Nasi Tim Ayam Jamur. It was good. tasted like Chinese Chicken Rice. The fried rice my friend ordered was okay. The Chicken Tempura Sandwich was just like any typical sandwich. Honestly, wasn't tasty. Have tasted better.

After Ghanis' Wedding, we went searching for soul food all around the town of Semarang. Firstly, my friend introduced us to her favourite snack when she was a kid: Tahu Petis. So what is tahu petis you may ask? As you know tahu is tofu. I have no idea how to explain what is petis but according to my friens its shrimp and black soybean paste. It was okay. Honestly, I didn't like the taste of petis so I wouldn't be snacking on this anytime soon.
Then we had Es Puter Conglik. Something like Malaysia's version on ABC but the grated ice has taste instead. . My favourite is of course lychee.

Across from Es Puter Conglik was Bu Djoyo's Jagung Bakar. I love grilled corn! The difference about grilled corn here is that instead of spreading it with salted butter you can spread it with sambal. It was surprisingly tasty. Will definitely eat this again.
Our last stop for the night was Pisang Plenet. Its actually bananas but it looked like pancakes.
For breakfast the next day we had Bubur Ayam. One of my friends ordered Misoa Ayam.

Had leker again. This was better then the first one we had.
Barbeque flavoured french fries from the street vendor was our snack in the car.
Last but not least, we stopped by Pak Di's Bakso Lombok Uleg. I don't normally eat bakso but I like the taste of the soup. Spicy...
