Shaken, Not Stirred

The last couple of days has been a blast. First of all, I celebrated my 24th Birthday last Friday. I'm 24... Twenty four! Wow! Time flies by really fast. When I first flew to Yogya I wasn't even twenty yet. Here I am, five years later celebrating my 24th Birthday here. I've celebrated my birthday for the past 5 years in Yogya. Bile la nak celebrate kat Malaysia? *sniff*

Didn't really celebrate my birthday cos I was 'working' that day. But I went to watch a movie with Ijan & Parveen and we had dinner at A&W. Oh, and I bought a new dress and a necklace as a birthday present for myself (Yeah rite! That's just an excuse. Haha!). Thanks to everyone who called, texted, MSNed and Facebooked to wish me Happy Birthday. Really appreciate it! Muaxxxxx

On Saturday I played bowling with my housemates. Decided to do something different for my birthday as everyone else normally karaoke. Was a lot of fun. Manage to strike once. Woohoo! After that we had dinner at Tao Kitchen and the girls 'suprised' me with a birthday cake. Huhu. Comel comel... Thank you girls for a hell of a good time. Really appreciate it cos you were willing to spend a few hours for me eventhough you have to study for your exam. Love ya!

Sunday was a day spent on top of the hill and the beach. In the morning we went to Ullen Sentalu. Its a museum about the history of Yogya's Royal family. The place is really beautiful but unfortunately you're not allowed to take pictures there. But we did take some pictures at the places we were allowed to. Hehe. We were on our way to the beach by noon. As soon as we arrived we bought fishes, prawns and squids at the market and picked a shop and asked them to cook for us. It took them almost 2 hours! We were starving! Then we played with the kite Ijan bought and took pictures. As night falls we went to a nearby beach to eat jagung bakar. Yummmm.....

On a completely different note, I just read Dydee's blog. I know how you feel girl. The whole Manohara and Amabalat issue is getting out of hand. It's all because of the Indonesian media. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching their gossip once in a while, but lately Malaysia has been put in a rather bad position. It's hard enough trying to defend your own country without hurting their feelings, it's even harder when people start asking questions like "Orang Malaysia memang kejam ya?" or you get mistreated. So most of the time I just shrug it off and or just laugh. There's no point getting upset or angry rite?

PS: More pictures will be uploaded on facebook soon
