In the wee hours of the morning I decided to deactivate my Facebook account temporarily. Am not sure for how long. Although Facebook is an awesome way to keep in touch with friends and family but sometimes FB makes you realize what you're missing back at home. So I'm saying goodbye to Facebook for now but am saying hello to my blog. =)

Hormones are Messing with Me
Yes, I admit this are some of things I miss about being in a relationship.
Excuse the 'facebok' spelling error. Hehe.
Been feeling a bit emotional lately. I'm blaming hormones for this. I hate it when I'm trying to stop myself from crying but I can feel my eyes watering and when I finally start crying I lose it and all my emotions come out. Geeez! Sometimes crying does make you feel better but and there also times when it makes you feel worse.
In times of sadness or in doubt always remember the words of Prophet Muhammad:
"Remember Allah in times of ease, and He will remember you in times of distress. What hit you could not have missed you, what missed you could not have hit you. Remember that victory comes with patience, relief comes with affliction and ease comes with hardship."

Monday to Friday
Good question, right?
Why is Monday so far from Friday?
You wait 5 days to finally enjoy your free time but
you only get to enjoy it for only 2 days.
Why not the other way around?
So what can I do between Monday and Friday?
1. Bake cupcakes
2. Try a new recipe (Souffle perhaps?)
3. Finish editing & submitting my reports (A must!)
4. Set up cicak traps
So when Friday comes will I look forward to next Monday?
Not a chance!

Love Happens To Those Who Wait
A month ago I went back to Malaysia for my friend's wedding. Suki & Aimi were both my seniors in Gadjah Mada University. I consider Aimi as one of my close friends in Yogya. We lived in the same house for almost 5 years!
The akad nikah was at Aimi's house in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. I actually flew back from Yogya on the 3rd. And on the same day I flew to KB at night. The wedding was on the 4th and I flew back to KL on the same day as the wedding. I guess you can say I spent exactly 24 hours in KB. A lot of exciting things happen during the 24 hours. I had a lot of fun and it was worth flying back to Malaysia for.
Here are a few pictures I took during the wedding. There was a lot to choose from. Now I understand the dilemma of professional photographers. Hoho!
Congratulations Aimi & Suki!

Twenty Eleven
Happy New Year!
Gosh, it's been more than a year since my last post. I recently decided to re-launch my blog. I needed something to do to inspire myself as well as others.
2010 has been bittersweet. Good memories as well as the bad. But somehow the bad ones seems to be the ones you will remember the most. Most probably because it left a bigger impact in my life. But also because you learn from it even if it takes awhile for you to realize it. I'm still coping but I'm sure I'll be fine. Baby steps. =)
Despite a bad memory a good one will always make you smile (unless the bad memory has a small connection to it. Hoho!). 2010 was the year my family was blessed with 3 babies: Imran, Khalila & Zafira. Alhamdulillah. I went to Mecca with my family and maid. First Raya with my whole family cos my brother's back in Malaysia. My BGFFs got married: Zaza, Sha, Aimi & Mariam. Tasha got enganged. Congrats girls!
I stopped making resolutions since last year. Mainly because I know I can't keep it. So for 2011 I decided to start on a few 'projects' instead. Kinda like 'Things-to-do-list'.The first one is re-launching my blog. The second project is under construction and will be up and running soon. Alhamdulillah.
I want to make 2011 be the year I rediscover myself. Not that I want to be selfish but I think I've lost track of a lot of things lately. So I'm slowly trying to reconnect all the little pieces. Of course taking small trips along the way isn't a bad idea either. Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Karimun is definitely on my list. Traveling is definitely me rediscovering the globetrotter side of me. And of course finishing Dental School is on the top of my list! I need to start getting my own income soon. No more asking Mummy for extra cash. Hehe.
Dear 2011, you look promising. Cheers to you mate!

The Trip Through Self Reflection
I just came back from my trip to Japan 3 days ago. It was a short and nice trip. I'll post some pictures later. My parents celebrated their 25th Anniversary there. Congrats mummy and daddy!
My blog post today isn't gonna be about my trip to Tokyo but more of self reflection while I was there. I can't help but feel some what inferior to my other sibling. I may be the older sibling but somehow he seems like the wise one to my parents eyes. I am happy he has grown up to be who he is. I've always known he was the smart one in the family. Its funny how he always use to say he has to live up to my shadows or something like that. But he needs to know now that's how I feel. Heh. But all is good between us. Happy to say we've never fought except when one is a bad mood and the other is getting on their nerves. I'm proud of you little brother.

This year will be the 2nd Raya celebration without my brother. Raya is not the same without you. Your yearly routine is to get ready and wear sampin in front of my mirror. I'll be alone ber-maafan with mummy and daddy. *sigh* Hopefully Raya next year you'll be around and the family will be complete. Plus by Raya next year InsyaAllah we'll have 2 more additional extended family members. Amin. =)
Today is the last day of Ramadhan. Tomorrow will be start of Syawal. Taking the time to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin. Hope everything is forgiven and I'm sorry if I've hurt anyone in any way.
xoxo

Leaving on A Jetplane
Today is the day I go back! Woot woot!
Before going back gotta stop by my faculty first to finish pending endodontic treatment. Honestly I wasn't planning to go to campus before heading back but I can't let my patient go back without his filling. Heh. Syukur Alhamdulillah I manage to do all my checklist from my previous entry except for insert crown for L. Manage to give her a temporary one till I come back.
In a few hours I'll be in Malaysia and tomorrow I'll wake up in the Land of the Rising Sun. ;P

OMG!
I just realized I'm going back in less than a week! As much as I'm very happy about it, I don't think I can enjoy it cos I've got loads of work to do before I go back. Here's a small check-list:
1. Pick-up and pay for Visa letter
2. Finish discussing Orthodontic treatment for A
3. Insert crown for L
4. Try-in half denture for Pak W
5. Send full denture and free end for proceassing
6. Try-in full denture base plate for Pak S
7. Polish Class IV resin composite filling
Oh, crap! Can I finish all that in less than a week? I sure hope so!
On a brighter note, I also can't believe I'll be in Japan in less than a week. Woot woot! Can't wait for my second trip there. Japan is an absolutely amazing country to visit. Unfortunately it's fasting month so no soft ice-cream for me. Maybe I'll have some after buka. *wink* I think I should do a small check-list of things I want to find. I'm definitely heading to any camera shops and most definitely going to Uniqlo! And if I stumble upon H&M, I'm definitely going there too!
Malaysia & Japan here I come!
